Officers Reports:
- President
– no report
- Vice

–
- Insurance
research has revealed that the policy that FWSRA has been paying for does
not properly cover the BOD from Liability in a suit. The proper insurance
coverage is going to add approximately $650 expense per year in addition
to the $400 being paid today for a total of approx $1100.
- The
bank account had a 14 month old check get cashed. Maizie made a motion which
was seconded and unanimously voted in favor of to put on our next check
order “void after 12 months” so that old checks cannot be cashed.
Director reports:
- Director
of Assigning – absent
- Mod
assignor – Judy needs help with Tracy Whitney tournament. 2 Sundays and
one Saturday as she has personal business to attend to (watch Jarod’s
games and a class reunion). Scott Ray volunteered to assist. Other will
check schedule to see if they can assist.
- Director
of Instruction: - ELC coming up in next couple weeks and brought up with
guest Betty Schmeck the concerns FWSRA
had with new out of association instructors coming to teach. Betty assured
FWSRA board that this association is doing the “right thing” but that she
did need to get more of the instructors actually teaching as only 25% are
doing the work now. FWSRA asked if there could be instructor pay for two
instructors and that FWSRA would have one of its instructors teach along
with the new instructor to ensure that the “extra” instructional material
is presented. Betty agreed to do this so FWSRA will plan on having Lorenzo
team teach with the 4 other instructors at the upcoming ELC. Betty also
went on to say that the curriculum for the ELC is being re-written to
include much more “field practicum” and less “book” time.
- Director
of Mentoring – no report
- Director
of Assessment – Scott brought up concerns with sideline conduct and asked
if there is a formal process for the leagues to look at the comments on
the match reports. President stated that this was the intent but the
system report out functions do not currently allow for league view in a
summarized format. President stressed that FWSRA must continue to remind
referees to deal with sideline misconduct quickly and appropriately and to
report to their assignor any exceptionally poor behavior. Assignor can
then notify FWU of said violations so that they can address with their
teams.
