A quorum was established (4 voting members)

- Vice
President no report
- Treasurer
Working on renewing insurance coverage for the Association and Board of
Directors. Research ongoing will report more findings next meeting
Directors Reports:
- Director
of Assigning Schedules from league expected only a few days before
league season starts. Debbie will be out of state until the Monday before
the season begins but will work on any schedules that arrive as time
allows.
- Assignor
Debbie asked if President could help pressure FWU to provide more timely
schedules. President is planning to meet with Jesse Hamashima and Perry
Woodford in the coming weeks to review the temporary suspension of the
game change fees in exchange for more timely/better formatted schedules.
- Discussion
of U-15 being pulled into the PDL but
it was determined from information from Kreig Eley
that this will likely not happen. A new league is being formed of just a
couple teams of the best from the State. Likely teams from the East
Side will be the only participants.
- Discussed
briefly the movement of the Girls U-15 to U-18 WSYSA teams to spring
playing season. Shortened 10 game schedule but
this should help assignments during the fall.
- Mod
assignor no report

Director of Instruction A note was sent from Betty
Schmeck telling Lorenzo that 4 new instructors have been
assigned to teach the upcoming FWSRA ELC. The note further said that FWSRA
instructors should not be burdened with all of the instructional duties and
that there are numerous instructors today that do not teach.
- The
board agrees that this is a troubling situation and that we must address
our concerns of outside instructors with Betty. President will draft a
letter to send to Betty with concerns namely the cohesiveness of having
only one or two instructors as well as the extra teaching that occurs
in our ELCs (WHAT to do when you do a game, not just the laws). FWSRA
agrees that a team teaching approach is best and that we welcome other
instructors to come and team teach with our instructors.

Director at Large-Mondragon absent

Unfinished Business None
New Business President presented an analysis of the pay
structure of other associations for the Assignor position to address the issue
of the difference of pay between the mod assignor per game fee and the United
per game fee. Other associations are paying approximately 5% of the Referee
fees. If the FWSRA referee fees are averaged and then 5% of that is considered,
pay per game would be about $4.85.
Modifications were also made to the 2008 Blastoff pay
schedule to raise the fee for the longer 70 minute preliminary matches.
President made a motion to accept the Blastoff changes and
raise the United Assignor fees to $5.00 per game. The motion was seconded and
voted unanimously in favor by a unanimous vote.
For the good of the game:
